We suspect that some creams use PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate as the base and PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil ] PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is the secondary, but some creams are used interchangeably with PEG-40 as the primary. PEG-7 is the secondary. How does it give different results? Both are non-ionic (PEG-7 HLB=11) (PEG-40 HLB=16, this one will be more viscous too) Thank you.

Hello, if these creams choose to use these emulsifiers to help coordinate water-oil in the formula, it means that the selected emulsifier is used by calculating the HLB value. Both of these emulsifiers have different HLB values. The choice therefore depends on the HLB of the desired formula.
