• LipidSoft™ Deo (Triethyl Citrate, TEC): This ingredient works by inhibiting the bacterial enzymes that break down sweat and cause odor, without killing the beneficial bacteria on the skin. It is oil-soluble and can be mixed into the oil phase of your soap recipe. Recommended usage rate is 1-5%.

• Zinc Ricinoleate (30% Solution): Derived from castor oil, Zinc Ricinoleate works by capturing and binding odor molecules, effectively neutralizing them. It is from natural sources and is suitable for use in bar and liquid soaps. It is dispersible in water and stable at high pH levels typical of soap. Recommended usage rate is 1-4%.

• DeoMax™ Liquid / DeoMax™ Powder: These ingredients are derived from Japanese persimmon tannin and are effective against various body odors by inhibiting or killing odor-causing bacteria. They are water-soluble. DeoMax™ Liquid is colorless to light yellow and recommended at 1-3% (typically 1%). DeoMax™ Powder is purple-dark brown and has a slightly bitter taste, recommended at 0.1-0.5%. Consider the color impact of the powder on your soap.

• CleanTea™ Liquid (Green Tea Extract Deodorizer): A green tea extract that suppresses various odors, including body odor. It is water-soluble and should be added in the final step when the soap temperature is below 40°C. Recommended usage rate is 1-5% (typically 3%).

• SugarClean™ (Sugarcane Extract Deodorizer): A sugarcane extract effective in suppressing various odors on the body. It is water-soluble and should be added in the final step when the soap temperature is below 40°C. Recommended usage rate is 0.5-3% (typically 2%).

• Citromask™ (Natural Deodorizer): This ingredient can deodorize the smell of fatty acids (related to body odor) and other odors. It is soluble in oil or alcohol and can be used in soaps. Recommended usage rate is 0.1-1% for body odor applications.

When choosing, consider the solubility of the ingredient (oil-soluble vs. water-soluble/dispersible) and the temperature requirements for mixing, especially depending on whether you are making cold process or hot process soap. For cold process, oil-soluble ingredients can be added to the oil phase, while water-soluble ones can be dissolved in the water phase or added at trace.
