Question

What types of ingredients (water-soluble, oil-soluble) can be added to the Aloe Vera Gel Lite base, and what are the limitations, especially regarding the percentage of oil-soluble ingredients that can be added without causing stability issues like phase separation?

Answer

Based on the staff's reply, you can mix both water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients into the Aloe Vera Gel Lite base.

However, there is a limitation on oil-soluble ingredients:

  • The base (both Lite and Heavy versions) can accommodate approximately 5-10% oil in the formula.
  • If you add oil-soluble ingredients in a proportion greater than 10%, it may cause the formula to separate over the long term.

So, while you are not restricted to only water-soluble ingredients, you must control the percentage of oil-soluble ingredients added.
