Question
I am making a gel formula using Pro Polymer. I would like to know:
- What is the recommended usage percentage for
Pro Polymerto achieve a normal gel consistency? - Can I add
Vitamin Cto this formula? If so, which types are compatible? I am particularly interested in usingPerfect-C(Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate),Ethyl Ascorbic acid,AA2G(Ascorbyl Glucoside), orL-Ascorbic Acidpowder.
Answer
Regarding your question about adding Vitamin C to your formula:
Yes, you can add certain types of Vitamin C to this formula.
- Suitable types: Perfect-C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) and Ethyl Ascorbic acid are recommended.
- Types not recommended for beginners: AA2G (Ascorbyl Glucoside) is not suitable for beginners as it requires pH adjustment.
- Types not suitable for this formula: L-Ascorbic Acid powder is not suitable because it degrades in water-based formulas.
The staff also mentioned that using Pro Polymer at 1% is sufficient for a normal gel consistency; using more might result in a gel that is too thick.
