Could you please provide a formulation and instructions for creating an alcohol-free liquid perfume for dabbing using these ingredients?

Answer

Alcohol-Free Liquid Perfume (Dab-On) Formulation

You can create an alcohol-free liquid perfume using the ingredients you have purchased: Fractionated Coconut Oil, DPG, and Flora Fix, along with your chosen fragrance oil.

Fractionated Coconut Oil is an excellent carrier oil for this type of perfume due to its light texture, lack of odor, and good skin feel.

Here is a basic formula structure:

  • Fragrance Oil: 20-40%
  • Flora Fix: 1-5%
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil: Balance to 100%

Instructions:

  1. Combine the Fragrance Oil and Flora Fix. Mix well. Note that Flora Fix's solubility in Fractionated Coconut Oil may vary, so it's recommended to test a small amount first to ensure it fully dissolves. If it doesn't dissolve completely in Fractionated Coconut Oil, you could try dissolving Flora Fix in DPG first before adding it to the Fractionated Coconut Oil.
  2. Add the Fractionated Coconut Oil to the mixture.
  3. Stir or shake gently until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Notes:

  • The percentage of Fragrance Oil can be adjusted within the suggested range (20-40%) depending on the desired strength of the perfume.
  • DPG can also be used as a solvent in alcohol-free perfumes, either partially replacing Fractionated Coconut Oil or used in combination, especially if you find it helps with dissolving the Flora Fix or prefer a less oily feel.
  • Always perform a small test batch first to check for solubility and desired fragrance strength before making a larger quantity.
