Question

Could you provide a formula for a bath oil specifically designed for very dry skin, utilizing Oil Soap™ as a key ingredient? The formula should aim to gently cleanse while retaining moisture, and include instructions on how to mix the ingredients.

Answer

Bath Oil Formula for Dry Skin

For those with very dry skin who wish to make their own bath oil, Oil Soap™ can be used as a key ingredient. Oil Soap™ is an agent that creates oil soap, allowing the oil to turn into milk and foam upon contact with water. It helps cleanse the skin gently while retaining moisture.

An example formula for bath oil using Oil Soap™ as a component is as follows:

  • Oil Soap™: 45%
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil: 46%
  • Jojoba Oil: 5%
  • Vitamin E Acetate: 1%
  • Oil Blender™: 3% (Required in the formula to prevent separation)

Mixing Instructions:

  1. Combine Oil Soap™, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Oil Blender™.
  2. Heat the mixture to 70 degrees Celsius and blend at a low speed (not exceeding 500 rpm) until all ingredients are dissolved together.
  3. Allow it to cool down to no more than 50 degrees Celsius, then add Vitamin E Acetate and blend or stir well.
  4. Fragrance or essential oil can be added to the formula as desired.

This formula will result in a clear bath oil suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
