Question

I am looking for Lycopene to make capsules for oral consumption myself.

I understand that your product, Tomato Natural Water Soluble Color, is cosmetic grade, but I am not sure if it can be taken orally.

Answer

Lycopene for Oral Consumption

The Lycopene product you are referring to, specifically the Tomato Natural Water Soluble Color, is designed and intended for use as a colorant in various products, typically external applications. It is considered cosmetic grade.

Ingredients classified as cosmetic grade are generally not suitable or approved for internal consumption. Therefore, we cannot recommend using this product for making capsules to be taken orally.

For oral supplements, it is crucial to use ingredients that are specifically manufactured and certified as food grade or pharmaceutical grade, ensuring they meet the necessary safety and quality standards for ingestion.
