Question
I plan to mix Shea Nut Oil, Argan Oil, and Rosehip Oil and add fragrance oil.
- Is this mixture stable, or will it spoil?
- Is a pump bottle suitable for packaging this oil mixture? What happens if the product is refrigerated?
- Some fragrance oils make the oil mixture cloudy; is this normal?
- How should I properly clean new packaging before filling it?
- How should I clean old packaging if I want to reuse it?
Answer
Based on the replies provided:
- Mixing Shea Nut Oil, Argan Oil, and Rosehip Oil and adding fragrance oil is fine and will not spoil the mixture.
- A pump bottle should work for packaging, as the texture is not expected to be too heavy. However, if the mixture is refrigerated, it might thicken and become difficult to pump.
- Some fragrance oils might cause the oil mixture to become cloudy, but this is normal and not a defect.
- For new packaging, simply washing with water and drying is sufficient before use. Alcohol sterilization is only necessary when reusing old packaging.
