Cleansing Oil Formula Review

Based on the ingredients and their typical usage in cleansing oil formulations, the proposed formula is usable.

• Oilsify 15: This ingredient is specifically designed as an oil-emulsifier for cleansing oils. It effectively helps remove makeup and impurities when rinsed with water. The concentration of 15% is within the recommended usage range.
• LipidSoft™ Lite: This is a light emollient that serves as the oil phase in this formula. Its description indicates it does not clog pores and can be used at high concentrations, making it suitable for this application.
• Phenoxyethanol SA: This is a broad-spectrum preservative used to prevent microbial growth in the product. The concentration of 0.5% is within the recommended usage range for this preservative.

Regarding the concern about Oilsify 15 causing clogged pores, cleansing oils are designed as wash-off products. They work by emulsifying oils and makeup on the skin, which are then rinsed away with water. Therefore, the ingredients in a cleansing oil, including Oilsify 15 and LipidSoft™ Lite (which is described as non-comedogenic), do not remain on the skin long enough to cause clogged pores when used as intended and properly rinsed off.
