Coloring Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate Powder Pink
Question
I purchased Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (BabyFoam™) powder and would like to make it a light pink powder. How should I mix the color, and what type of color should I use so that the color does not stain hands after it is dissolved in water?
Answer
Coloring Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate Powder Pink
To color your BabyFoam™ (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate) powder a light pink without the color transferring or staining after it dissolves in water, you should use a water-soluble cosmetic colorant.
We recommend using a water-soluble color like Glow Pink (Water-Soluble, Fluorescent). This type of colorant is designed to dissolve completely in water, ensuring it won't leave residue or stain hands after use.
How to mix:
- Start with a very small amount of the Glow Pink powder. Water-soluble colors are highly concentrated, so you only need a tiny amount to achieve a light shade.
- Add the color powder to your BabyFoam™ powder.
- Mix thoroughly and evenly. You can use a mortar and pestle or a small blender dedicated to cosmetics to ensure the color is dispersed throughout the white powder.
- Add more color gradually if needed, mixing well after each addition, until you achieve the desired light pink shade.
Using a water-soluble color ensures that once the powder is dissolved in water for use, the color will also dissolve and not stain.
