Compatibility and Mixing Procedure for Anti-Aging and Brightening Serum

The serum formula you have designed is very comprehensive, covering anti-aging, brightening, and hydration. Here is the compatibility check and recommendations:

1. Formula Coverage and Ingredients

• Coverage: The formula is excellent. The combination of Safe-B3™ (5%) and GlucoBright™ (4%) is a proven synergistic duo for brightening. DMAE, Wrinkle-Fill™, and Wrinkle-Lax™ provide strong anti-aging and firming benefits.
• Recommendation: Sodium Copper Chlorophyllin Complex at 0.5% will result in a very intense dark green color. If you prefer a light green "serum" look, I recommend reducing this to 0.01% - 0.05%.

2. Compatibility and Stability

• The pH Challenge: DMAE Liquid is highly alkaline (high pH). However, Safe-B3™, GlucoBright™, and Madecassoside require a pH range of approximately 5.5 - 6.0 to remain stable and effective.
• Electrolyte Sensitivity: Your formula contains many electrolytes (Niacinamide, GlucoBright, DMAE, and Magnesium Sulfate). Silky Serum Base is a ready-to-use base, but at only 10%, it may become very thin (runny) when mixed with these high-electrolyte actives. To achieve a "thick but light" texture, you may need to increase the base percentage or add a thickener.
• Separation: There is no immediate need to separate the formula into two products, provided you manage the pH correctly.

3. Dissolving Powders in Rose Water

• Yes, you can use Rose Water to dissolve water-soluble powders (Allantoin, Niacinamide, Panthenol, etc.) directly. However, ensure the total water volume is sufficient to dissolve everything.

4. Preservative Sufficiency

• Mild Preserved Eco™ at 2% is generally sufficient. However, since your formula contains a high amount of natural extracts and Rose Water, ensure the final pH is below 6.0 for optimal preservative efficacy.

5. Mixing Madecassoside 90%

• Madecassoside should be dissolved in the water phase before mixing with the base. You do not need to "sprinkle" it at the end. Dissolve it in a small portion of RO water or Rose Water first to ensure it is completely clear before adding it to the main mixture.

Recommended Mixing Steps

1. Water Phase: Mix RO Water, Rose Water, Disodium EDTA, Allantoin, Safe-B3™, GlucoBright™, Panthenol, Sialic Acid, and Magnesium Sulfate. Stir until completely dissolved. (Slight warming can help Allantoin dissolve faster).
2. Active Phase: Add Yeast Radiance™, MOIST24, Rose Extract, Wrinkle-Fill™, Wrinkle-Lax™, Sodium Copper Chlorophyllin, and the pre-dissolved Madecassoside.
3. pH Adjustment (Crucial): Add DMAE Liquid. Use a pH meter or strips. The pH will likely rise. Use a Citric Acid solution (gradually drop by drop) to adjust the pH back down to 5.5 - 6.0.
4. Base Incorporation: Gradually add the water mixture into the Silky Serum Base while stirring continuously until a uniform serum texture is formed.
5. Preservation: Add Mild Preserved Eco™ and stir well.

Note: If the serum is too thin after step 4, you may need to add more Silky Serum Base or a small amount of a gelling agent.
