What are the compatibility and stability issues when using products containing EGCG (Green Tea Extract EGCG) and Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate) together, either by layering separate products or mixing them in the same formulation?
Answer
Based on the previous discussion:
- Applying a product containing EGCG followed by a product containing Vitamin E (or vice versa) at the same time does not cause any issues.
- When EGCG and Vitamin E are mixed together in the same formulation, Vitamin E can cause EGCG to degrade, but this process is very slow and primarily noticeable after long-term storage (around 2 years).
- In a mixed formulation, only EGCG is affected and degrades; Vitamin E is not affected.
