Compatibility of Reservoir-Tech with Oil-Soluble Ingredients

Question

When I ordered Reservoir-Tech at the price of 49, the description stated it could be used with oil-soluble ingredients, specifically mentioning Activated Resorcinol and Perfect-C. I placed the order based on this.

Today, I noticed the price reduced to 35, and the description now states it is for water-soluble substances.

Given this change, can I still use Reservoir-Tech with Perfect-C?

Answer

Compatibility of Reservoir-Tech with Oil-Soluble Ingredients

Based on the product descriptions:

  • Reservoir-Tech is described as being dispersible in formulas, not soluble in water or oil. While the description initially mentions suitability for both water-soluble and oil-soluble actives, it later clarifies that the company is still testing and currently recommends it primarily for dissolved substances, listing only water-soluble ingredients that have been tested for compatibility. It also suggests using Phospholipids for oil-soluble actives not on its tested list.
  • Activated Resorcinol is soluble in oil.
  • Perfect-C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) is soluble in oil.

Since Activated Resorcinol and Perfect-C are oil-soluble and are not on the list of tested ingredients for use with Reservoir-Tech, the current product description indicates that Reservoir-Tech is not recommended for use with these specific oil-soluble ingredients. The information you are seeing now, suggesting it is for water-soluble substances, aligns with the detailed description's recommendations and tested list.
