Question
In a provided cream formulation for dry skin using Light Cream Maker™, can Sweet Almond Oil be substituted with Moringa Oil? What are the recommended mixing steps for this formula?
Answer
Cream Formulation for Dry Skin with Light Cream Maker™
This formulation uses Light Cream Maker™ to create a light, easily absorbed cream. You can substitute Sweet Almond Oil with Moringa Oil.
Ingredients:
- Water: 71%
- Shea Butter Ultra Soft: 5%
- Sweet Almond Oil (or Moringa Oil): 5%
- Vitamin B5: 3%
- MOIST72: 3%
- WaterLock: 2%
- Repair Activator: 10%
- Light Cream Maker™: 1%
Steps for Mixing:
- Step A: Mix all water-phase ingredients (Water, Vitamin B5, MOIST72, WaterLock, Repair Activator) together and stir until everything is dissolved.
- Step B: Mix the oil-phase ingredients (Shea Butter Ultra Soft, Sweet Almond Oil or Moringa Oil) together. Gently heat this mixture to about 50°C to fully melt the Shea Butter. Add Light Cream Maker™ to this heated oil phase (B) and stir to combine.
- Combine Step A and Step B: Add the oil phase mixture (B) to the water phase mixture (A) while stirring continuously. You should observe the cream forming within 1-5 minutes.
Important Note: Stir or blend the mixture thoroughly to ensure the Light Cream Maker™ is evenly dispersed. This helps create a smooth texture and prevents a flaky feel on the skin. Avoid excessive high-speed mixing (above 2500 rpm) as this can damage the emulsifier.
The resulting cream will be light, smooth, and easily absorbed into the skin without a greasy feel.
