Question
Regarding a cream formulation for stretch marks and scars, I have two questions:
- Can Propolymer be added to this formula to achieve a bouncy cream texture?
- Is using 7% Shea Butter too much if I want the cream to be non-greasy and easily absorbed?
Answer
Regarding your cream formulation for stretch marks and scars:
- Propolymer: Based on the feedback, Propolymer is not needed in this formula because Satin Mousse is already present. You can adjust the cream's consistency (thickness/bounciness) by varying the amount of Satin Mousse used. Start with a small amount and add more gradually until you achieve the desired texture.
- Shea Butter 7%: The amount of Shea Butter is subjective and depends on your skin's dryness and your personal preference for the cream's feel. For very dry skin, 7% is not considered excessive. To incorporate it, you will need to melt the Shea Butter and mix it with the other oils in your formulation.
