Creamy Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Formula

To create a creamy anti-dandruff shampoo using Zinc Pyrithione as the main active ingredient (recommended at 1% active concentration), you can use the following basic ingredients:

• Ingredients:

  • Purified Water: Remainder (q.s. to 100%)
  • Coco-Betaine: 10%
  • Lauryl Glucoside: 10%
  • SugarThick™: 3% (for thickening)
  • Zinc Pyrithione Liquid (50% Active): 2% (to get 1% active Zinc Pyrithione)
  • emulPearl™: 5% (for creating cream/pearl texture)

• Basic Mixing Method:

  1. Mix Purified Water with SugarThick™ and stir or blend until combined (may need gentle warming to help SugarThick™ dissolve).
  2. Add Coco-Betaine and Lauryl Glucoside. Stir gently to avoid excessive foam.
  3. Add Zinc Pyrithione Liquid. Blend thoroughly to ensure even dispersion (as Zinc Pyrithione is insoluble in water, it needs to be dispersed in the shampoo, and the formula's viscosity will help suspend it).
  4. Add emulPearl™ and stir until the desired cream/pearl texture is achieved.
  5. Add other ingredients such as fragrance, color, preservative (if any).
