Creamy Body Wash Formulation (Non-Pearly)
Question
I want to make a body wash that has a creamy, lotion-like texture. The cream should be milky white and I do not want a pearly texture like the one achieved with emul Pearl (Ethylene Glycol Distearate).
Could you please recommend a formula?
Answer
Creating a Creamy, Non-Pearly Body Wash
To create a body wash with a creamy, lotion-like texture that is milky white and not pearly, you can consider using bases designed for creamy cleansers.
One suitable option is the Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser (Compare to Cetaphil) base. This base is formulated to have a white cream texture and provides cleansing properties. You can use this base at a high percentage (95-100%) and add other desired ingredients like fragrances or active ingredients.
Another product that can contribute to a creamy texture and enhance foam is Creamy Foamer™. This is a foam booster that is a white cream at room temperature and helps create a soft, smooth foam. It can be used in conjunction with other cleansing bases to improve the creamy feel and foaming performance.
By utilizing a creamy cleanser base like Hydrating Foaming Cream Cleanser and potentially incorporating a creamy foam booster like Creamy Foamer™, you can achieve the desired milky white, lotion-like texture for your body wash without needing pearlescent agents like Ethylene Glycol Distearate.
