Detailed Mixing Instructions for Vitamin C E Ferulic (Lite) Formula

This formula is a Vitamin C serum that focuses on dissolving the powder ingredients (L-Ascorbic Acid and Ferulic Acid) in a liquid base, then adding other ingredients and adjusting viscosity/pH.

Required Equipment:

• Beaker or mixing container
• Stirring rod or mixer
• Accurate scale
• pH paper or pH meter
• Container for the finished product (preferably opaque and airtight bottle)

Mixing Steps:

1. Prepare the Liquid Base: In a beaker or mixing container, weigh all liquid ingredients: Purified Water, Ethoxydiglycol, Propylene Glycol, and Glycerin according to the specified percentages. Stir to combine.
2. Dissolve Powder Ingredients: Add L-ascorbic acid Ultra-Fine and Ferulic Acid to the liquid base from Step 1. Stir well. Gentle heating (around 40°C) can help dissolve the powders completely. Ensure all powder is dissolved and the solution is clear before proceeding.
3. Add Other Ingredients: Add Laureth-23 and d-Alpha Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E) to the solution. Stir well to disperse or incorporate the Vitamin E into the base (Laureth-23 will help emulsify). If heat was used in the previous step, maintain the temperature.
4. Add Panthenol: Add Panthenol and stir to dissolve.
5. Add Hyaluronic Acid: Add Hyaluronic Acid Standard and Hyaluronic Acid Nano. Stir periodically and allow time for the Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and form a gel until the desired viscosity is reached. Let the mixture cool down to room temperature if heat was used.
6. Adjust pH: Use pH paper or a pH meter to measure the pH of the solution. Slowly add Triethanolamine drop by drop, mixing well after each addition, until the pH is within the optimal range (around 3.5 for L-Ascorbic Acid stability).
7. Add Preservative: Once the pH is adjusted and the mixture is homogeneous, add Phenoxyethanol (preservative). Stir to combine.
8. Final Mixing: Stir the entire mixture again until homogeneous.
9. Packaging: Pour the finished serum into the prepared container. An opaque bottle is recommended to protect from light.
