Answer

Cloudy Milky White Scalp Toner Formula

Here is a sample formula for a cloudy, milky white scalp toner. This formula uses ingredients that can help condition the scalp and hair while providing the desired appearance.

Ingredients:

  • Water (or Hydrosol): Up to 100% - The base of the toner.
  • Witch Hazel (Alcohol Free, Paraben Free) Plus Allantoin: 10-50% - Acts as an astringent to help tone the scalp and contains Allantoin for soothing.
  • Hair-Cond™ SM: 1-3% - A small particle silicone emulsion that provides conditioning benefits and contributes to the milky white appearance.
  • Preservative: 0.5-1% - A broad-spectrum preservative to prevent microbial growth (e.g., Mild Preserved Eco).

Instructions:

  1. Combine Water (or Hydrosol) and Witch Hazel.
  2. Add Hair-Cond™ SM and mix gently until dispersed and the liquid becomes cloudy/milky.
  3. Add the preservative and mix thoroughly.
  4. Adjust pH if necessary (typically toners are slightly acidic, around pH 4.5-5.5).

Note: The percentage of Hair-Cond™ SM can be adjusted to achieve the desired level of cloudiness and conditioning. Always perform a small test batch first.

This formula is a starting point. You can add other active ingredients beneficial for the scalp, such as soothing agents, anti-dandruff ingredients, or hair growth stimulants, depending on the specific needs.
