Answers to Your Questions

1. Adjusting Viscosity

• To Thicken: Increase the proportion of Silky Serum Base Plus (up to 30%) or increase the Silicone Elastomer. In Water-in-Silicone (W/Si) systems, increasing the water ratio slightly can also increase thickness, but it may affect stability if pushed too far.
• To Thin: Increase Cyclopentasiloxane or Silicone Blender.

2. Powder Optimization
Your current formula uses many powders with overlapping functions (Soft-focus and Matte effect).

• Overlap: MatteSilica 5S, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, and Whitematte 3 all provide soft-focus and oil control. BB Micro Silk and Powdercream provide smoothness.
• Recommendation: You do not need to strictly stay under 10%, but high powder content can make the formula "drag" or feel dry. I recommend consolidating them to a total of 5-8%. For example:
  • MatteSilica 5S: 2% (Oil control)
  • BB Micro Silk: 2% (Smoothness)
  • Polymethylsilsesquioxane: 2% (Soft focus/Slip)
  • Whitematte 3: 1% (Luster/Soft focus)

3. Improving Spreadability
If the formula is hard to spread, it is likely due to the high powder and mineral sunscreen content.

• Silicone Blender: This is the best solution. It reduces the surface tension of silicones and helps "wet" the powders, making the cream glide smoothly on the skin.
• Cyclopentasiloxane: Increasing this volatile silicone will provide a temporary "slip" during application before it evaporates.

4. SiliSolve Plus, Magnesium Sulfate, and Silicone Blender

• SiliSolve Plus: You can remove this. Silky Serum Base Plus already contains high-performance emulsifiers.
• Magnesium Sulfate: You must keep this. It is critical for stabilizing the water droplets within the silicone base to prevent the formula from separating.
• Silicone Blender: Highly recommended. It acts as a bridge between different types of silicones and powders, ensuring a professional, smooth texture.

Mixing Instructions

1. Mix all ingredients in the Oil/Silicone Phase together until the powders and pigments are perfectly dispersed.
2. In a separate container, dissolve Magnesium Sulfate and Madecassoside in the water.
3. Slowly pour the Water Phase into the Oil Phase while stirring at high speed (using a homogenizer or a high-speed mixer) to create a stable emulsion.
