Formulation of Lightweight Body Oil Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++

For a lightweight, fast-absorbing Body Oil Sunscreen with SPF 50 PA+++ that minimizes yellow staining on clothes and reduces the chance of skin clogging, I recommend the following formulation and adjustments:

Recommended Formula (Body Oil Sunscreen SPF 50 PA+++)

Part A: Sunscreen Filters (Oil-Soluble & Low Staining)

• BEMT (Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine): 4% (Broad spectrum, very stable)
• DHHB (Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate): 8% (High UVA protection for PA+++/++++)
• Ethylhexyl Triazone (EHT): 4% (High UVB protection for SPF 50)
• Octocrylene: 7% (UVB protection and helps stabilize the formula)

Part B: Solvents & Lightweight Emollients

• LipidSoft™ C1215 (C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate): 15% (Excellent solvent for powder sunscreens)
• LipidSoft™ Dry II (Dicaprylyl Carbonate): 25% (Provides a dry, non-greasy feel)
• CocoSilk™ (Coco-Caprylate/Caprate): 15% (Silky texture, natural alternative to silicone)

Part C: Nourishing Oils & Antioxidants

• Squalane (Olive): 5% (Lightweight, non-clogging)
• Jojoba Oil (Clear): 5% (Similar to skin sebum, low clogging)
• Argan Oil (Virgin - Deodorized): 2%
• Sweet Almond Oil: 4.3%
• Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate): 0.5% (Antioxidant)

Key Recommendations & Adjustments

1. Avoiding Yellow Stains:
   • Avoid OMC (Octyl methoxycinnamate): While effective, OMC is the primary cause of yellow stains on white clothing. In this formula, I have replaced it with Ethylhexyl Triazone (EHT), which provides superior UVB protection without the same staining profile.
2. Reducing Clogging (Comedogenicity):
   • Remove Isopropyl Myristate (IPM) and Ethylhexyl Palmitate: Both ingredients are known to have higher comedogenic potential (can clog pores). I have replaced them with LipidSoft™ Dry II and CocoSilk™, which offer a much lighter feel and are less likely to cause breakouts.
3. Texture & Absorption:
   • The combination of LipidSoft™ Dry II and CocoSilk™ ensures the oil feels "dry" and absorbs quickly into the skin, avoiding the heavy, sticky feeling of traditional body oils.
4. Sunscreen Dissolution:
   • BEMT, DHHB, and EHT are powders. They must be completely dissolved in the oil phase. Use LipidSoft™ C1215 and Octocrylene as the primary solvents.
   • Mixing Method: Combine Part A and Part B. Heat the mixture to approximately 80°C and stir until all powders are completely clear and dissolved. Once dissolved, allow the mixture to cool down to about 45-50°C before adding Part C (Natural oils, Vitamin E, and Perfume) to preserve the quality of the natural oils and fragrance.
