Gentle Liquid Soap with Whipped Foam

To make a liquid soap with rich, soft foam that doesn't dry out the skin, we recommend using a Sulfate-Free foaming base. These bases are developed to be gentle on the skin while still providing excellent foam.

A good option is the Sulfate Free Shampoo Base (pH 7, Clear, Foaming). This base is sulfate-free, provides high and stable foam, is gentle on the skin, and is easy to thicken.

Here is a basic example formula using this base:

• Sulfate Free Shampoo Base (pH 7, Clear, Foaming): 30-35%
• Distilled Water: 64-69%
• Preservative: 1%

Instructions:

1. Mix the Sulfate Free Shampoo Base with distilled water. Stir gently to combine, avoiding vigorous mixing which can create excessive bubbles.
2. Add the preservative and stir until fully incorporated.
3. (Optional) To increase viscosity, you can add salt (Sodium Chloride) at a concentration of about 0.5-1.5%. Add the salt gradually while stirring gently until the desired thickness is reached. Allow the mixture to sit for 24 hours for the viscosity to stabilize.

You can also add other beneficial ingredients like moisturizers (e.g., Glycerin, Panthenol) or botanical extracts to further enhance the skin-conditioning properties of the liquid soap.

Other suitable sulfate-free foaming bases you could consider include Sulfate Free No-Tear Shampoo Base (pH 6, Clear, Foaming), Sulfate-Free Foaming Base (pH 6, Clear, Foaming), and Sulfate-Free No-Tear Foaming Base (pH 6, Clear, Foaming), depending on your specific needs for gentleness and foam.

Remember to always test the final product on a small area of skin before full use.
