Shampoo Formula for Hair Loss, Growth, Dandruff, and Softness

Your original shampoo formula targets hair loss, growth, and dandruff effectively with ingredients like Biotin Express™, Zinc Pyrithione, and Dandruff-Guard™. Removing the fresh herbal water is advisable for stability and shelf life. To enhance the hair loss and growth benefits and address the slightly oily scalp, we can incorporate additional ingredients as suggested by the staff.

We also need to ensure proper dispersion of Zinc Pyrithione and choose a single preservative system.

Here is a revised formula:

• Sulfate Free Shampoo Base (pH 7, Clear, Foaming): 30%
• Biotin Express™: 2%
• Zinc Pyrithione (Dandruff, Sebderm): 2%
• Protec™ UV: 0.1%
• Dandruff-Guard™ (Piroctone Olamine): 1%
• Poly-Conditioner Pro (400 mPa.s): 2%
• Mild Preserved Eco™ (Ethylhexylglycerin): 1%
• EasyThick™ (viscous in shampoo/liquid soap): 2% (To help suspend Zinc Pyrithione)
• Zinc PCA: 0.3% (To help control scalp oiliness and reduce hair loss)
• Coffee Extract: 3% (To stimulate scalp circulation for hair growth)
• Distilled Water: 56.6%

Total: 100%

Shampoo Mixing Instructions

1. In a container, combine the Distilled Water, Biotin Express™, Protec™ UV, Mild Preserved Eco™, EasyThick™, Zinc PCA, and Coffee Extract. Stir or blend gently until all ingredients are dissolved and the mixture is uniform. You may need to heat slightly (below 80°C) to help dissolve EasyThick™.
2. Slowly add the Sulfate Free Shampoo Base to the mixture from step 1. Stir gently to avoid excessive foaming.
3. In a separate small container, disperse the Zinc Pyrithione powder in a small amount of distilled water or shampoo base. Ensure it is well dispersed before adding it to the main batch.
4. Disperse the Poly-Conditioner Pro powder in a small amount of water by sprinkling it gradually while stirring continuously (heating to around 65°C can help). Once clear, add this dispersion to the main batch.
5. Add the dispersed Zinc Pyrithione and dissolved Poly-Conditioner Pro to the main shampoo mixture. Stir gently until everything is uniformly distributed.
6. Check the viscosity. If it's not thick enough to suspend the Zinc Pyrithione, you might need to slightly increase the EasyThick™ percentage (up to 3% total) or add a small amount of salt (0.5-1.5% of the total formula, test gradually). Stir gently after adding thickener/salt.
7. Allow the mixture to sit for 24 hours for the viscosity to stabilize.

Concentrated Hair Treatment Formula (Leave-on Mask)

Your treatment formula contains excellent conditioning oils and agents suitable for nourishing damaged hair. To make it a concentrated, leave-on mask (applied for 10-15 minutes before rinsing) and enhance its properties for hair growth and damaged/colored hair, we can adjust the conditioning agents and add actives.

Here is a revised formula for a concentrated, rinse-off treatment:

• Olive Oil (Extra Virgin): 5%
• Macadamia Nut Oil (Deodorized): 5%
• Fractionated Coconut Oil: 5%
• Argan Oil (Organic - Virgin - Deodorized): 5%
• Behentrimonium Chloride (BTAC): 3% (Adjusted for rinse-off use)
• Cetrimonium Chloride (CTAC): 1% (Adjusted for rinse-off use)
• Pure Keratin™ (Natural, Australian Sheep Wool): 2%
• Butylene Glycol: 1%
• Cetyl Alcohol (Vegetable): 8%
• Poly-Conditioner Pro (400 mPa.s): 5%
• Poly-Conditioner Eco: 3%
• Butter Cream Maker™: 2%
• Coffee Extract: 3% (To stimulate scalp circulation for hair growth)
• Phenoxyethanol SA: 1%
• Distilled Water: 51%

Hair Treatment Mixing Instructions

This is an emulsion formula, requiring separate oil and water phases.

1. Oil Phase: In a heat-resistant container, combine Olive Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Argan Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, and Butter Cream Maker™. Heat this mixture to approximately 70-80°C until all solid ingredients are melted and the phase is clear and uniform.
2. Water Phase: In a separate heat-resistant container, combine Distilled Water, Butylene Glycol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Cetrimonium Chloride, Poly-Conditioner Pro, Poly-Conditioner Eco, Pure Keratin™, and Coffee Extract. Heat this phase to a temperature similar to the oil phase (approximately 70-80°C).
3. Emulsification: While blending or stirring the water phase, slowly pour the heated oil phase into the water phase. Continue blending or stirring until the mixture is fully emulsified and appears uniform.
4. Cooling: Continue stirring or blending the emulsion as it cools down. This helps the emulsion form properly and prevents separation.
5. Add Preservative: Once the mixture has cooled to below 40°C, add the Phenoxyethanol SA. Stir until completely incorporated.
6. Continue stirring occasionally until the mixture reaches room temperature and the desired texture is achieved.

Can Both Formulas Be Mixed?

The two formulas are designed for different product types (shampoo and treatment) and should not be mixed together as a single product. The shampoo is a cleansing product, while the treatment is a conditioning product. Using them separately as intended will provide the desired benefits for your hair care routine.
