High Coverage Foundation Pigments

To achieve high coverage in your silicone-based foundation that dries quickly and covers dark spots or tattoos, you need to use pigments specifically designed for opacity.

• Mica Powder, such as the Silk Mica Powder you mentioned (Mica Powder (20 Micron, Methicone Coated)), is excellent for providing a soft, smooth texture and natural-looking skin concealment, but it does not offer high coverage needed for significant imperfections.
• EasyMix color powders (Iron Oxides and Titanium Dioxide) are pigments suitable for makeup. For high coverage, the key pigments are Titanium Dioxide and Iron Oxides (Yellow, Red, Black, Beige).

Titanium Dioxide (like White Oxides EasyMix™) provides the primary opacity and whiteness. Iron Oxides (like Yellow Iron Oxides EasyMix™, Red Iron Oxides EasyMix™, Black Iron Oxides EasyMix™, and Beige Iron Oxides EasyMix™) are used to adjust the shade to match the desired skin tone.

To get high coverage, you need to use a sufficient concentration of these pigments in your formula. The EasyMix versions are coated (Methicone coated) which makes them easy to disperse in silicone and oil bases, helps them adhere well to the skin, and provides waterproof properties, fitting your requirement for a quick-drying silicone foundation.

By combining White Oxides EasyMix™ with the appropriate ratio of Yellow, Red, Black, and Beige Iron Oxides EasyMix™, you can create a custom shade with the high level of coverage you are looking for. You may need to experiment with the ratios and total pigment concentration to achieve the desired coverage and shade for your foundation.
