Question
Can the ingredient Long-Lash™ be used directly, or are there recommended usage methods for incorporating it into a formulation, including application instructions for the final product?
Answer
How to Use Long-Lash™
Long-Lash™ is an ingredient for use in eyelash conditioning products, not a ready-to-use product itself. Here are the usage instructions and recommendations:
- Usage Type: Used as an ingredient in eyelash conditioning product formulations.
- Mixing Method: Mix into the water phase of the formula. Avoid heat.
- Usage Rate: 5-10% (Do not use more than 10% as it may cause irritation. 10% is the maximum level for efficiency).
- Application Method (for the finished product): It is recommended that consumers apply it to the base of the eyelashes, not just on the lashes themselves.
- Mixing Precautions:
- Do not include Disodium EDTA or any type of Chelating Agent in the formula, as they will bind to Copper Peptide, a component of Long-Lash™, reducing its effectiveness.
- Do not include any type of AHA such as Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Citric Acid in the formula, as AHA is a chelating agent and will cause Copper Peptide, one of the components of Long-Lash™, to lose its effectiveness.
- Combining with Other Ingredients: Can be used together with Pep®-Brow peptide (Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3) to increase efficiency.
Results can be seen when used continuously for 2 weeks, and results will be more clearly seen when used continuously for 6 weeks.
