How to Use Sulfate Free Shampoo Base (pH 7, Clear, Foaming)

Sulfate Free Shampoo Base is a versatile base for creating various cleansing products like shampoos, liquid soaps, and facial cleansers. It is gentle and free from sulfates.

Usage Instructions:

• Usage Rate: Use at a concentration of 5-40%. A rate of 25% is recommended for baby formulas, and 30-35% for adult formulas.
• Mixing Method: Mix the base with water. Stir or blend gently to combine, avoiding intense spinning which can create excessive bubbles. The base can withstand heat.

Thickening:

To increase viscosity, you can add salt (Sodium Chloride) at approximately 0.5-1.5%. Add salt at a recommended test rate of 0.2%, stir gently to dissolve. The formula will thicken on its own after standing for 24 hours.

Other thickeners that can provide a clear formula include SugarThick™, ClearClean™, Xanthan Gum, and EasyThick™.

• Baby Shampoo/Liquid Soap:

  • Sulfate Free Shampoo Base: 25%
  • Distilled water: 74%
  • Preservative: 1%

• Adult Conditioning Shampoo (Silicone-Free):

  • Sulfate Free Shampoo Base: 30%
  • Poly-Conditioner Eco: 3%
  • Distilled water: 66%
  • Preservative: 1%

• Adult Liquid Soap:

  • Sulfate Free Shampoo Base: 35%
  • Distilled water: 64%
  • Preservative: 1%

Storage:

Store at room temperature, protected from sunlight and heat. The product has a shelf life of at least 2 years.
