Ingredients for Gel Perfume (Pump Bottle)

To create a gel-based solid perfume suitable for a pump bottle, you will need the following premium grade ingredients for both clear and white versions:

• Purified Water: Use distilled or deionized water as the base.
• Gelling Agent:
  • For a clear gel, consider Carbomer U21 or Carbomer Ultrez 30. These are easy to use and provide clear gel texture.
  • Alternatively, AnyGel™ is another suitable water gelling agent.
• Neutralizer: If using Carbomer, Triethanolamine 99% is a high-purity option to activate the gel.
• Preservative: Mild Preserved™ COS is a broad-spectrum, odorless preservative effective in a wide pH range.
• Fragrance Oil: Your preferred perfume scent, such as Jasmine Fragrance Oil.
• Opacifier (for White Gel): Styrene/Acrylates Opacifier (e.q. OP301) to achieve a white, opaque appearance.

Basic Instructions

Follow these general steps, adjusting usage rates based on product instructions and desired consistency. Always start with small test batches.

For Clear Gel:

1. Measure purified water.
2. Slowly add the chosen gelling agent (Carbomer U21 or Carbomer Ultrez 30) to the water while stirring until fully dispersed.
3. Gradually add Triethanolamine 99% drop by drop while stirring until the gel forms and becomes clear.
4. Add Mild Preserved™ COS and mix well.
5. Add your fragrance oil (e.g., Jasmine Fragrance Oil) and mix thoroughly.
6. (Optional) Check and adjust pH to be within the preservative's working range (pH 2-8 for Mild Preserved™ COS).
7. Package into pump bottles.

For White Gel:

1. Follow steps 1-5 for the Clear Gel using your chosen gelling agent (Carbomer U21, Carbomer Ultrez 30, or AnyGel™).
2. Add Styrene/Acrylates Opacifier (e.q. OP301) while mixing until the desired white opacity is reached.
3. (Optional) Check and adjust pH.
4. Package into pump bottles.
