Answer
Making Fragrance Products
Here is information on making fragrance beads and solid perfume:
Fragrance Beads
Yes, you can mix perfume or fragrance oil with fragrance beads and package them for sale. The beads are designed to absorb fragrance and diffuse it over time.
Proportion: Mix perfume or fragrance oil with the fragrance beads at a rate of approximately 20-30% of the weight of the beads. The beads will absorb the fragrance over about 1 day.
Ingredients:
- Perfume or Fragrance Oil
- Perfume beads, aroma diffuser beads, Solid Perfume
Solid Perfume
You can make solid perfume using a suitable base. A simple formula can be created using an Oil Stick Base.
Formula using Oil Stick Base:
- Oil Stick Base (Lipstick, Fragrances, Essential Oils): 85%
- Any perfume or fragrance oil: 15%
Instructions:
- Heat the Oil Stick Base to 100-110°C to melt.
- Add the perfume or fragrance oil and stir to combine.
- Pour the mixture into suitable containers (like stick tubes or small jars) and let it cool and solidify.
Alternatively, solid perfumes are often made using a combination of waxes and butters with fragrance oil. Common ingredients include Beeswax, Shea Butter, and carrier oils like Jojoba Oil, melted together and mixed with fragrance before cooling.
