Question
Based on the following formula and steps, will the result be a pomade? I plan to order the ingredients to start making it.
Formula:
- Paste Maker™ 25%
- coco-wash™ 13%
- glycerin 5%
- Easy Hair Styler (8 Hr.) 10%
- Phenoxyethanol SA 1%
- Water 46%
Steps:
Heat 1, 2, and 3 to 80-90°C and dissolve together (this is the oil phase).
Heat 6 to 8-90°C and mix with the oil phase.
Blend until combined and wait for it to cool down to no more than 40°C.
Add 4 and 5, then blend until combined.
Notes:
- For a clear formula, please change Easy Hair Styler (8 Hr.) to PVP-K90 and mix it in the water phase.
- If using an unsuitable blender head, glycerin in the formula will cause cloudiness due to foam formation. Please consider removing glycerin from the formula.
Answer
Based on the formula and steps provided, yes, following these instructions should result in a pomade. The topic and the ingredients listed are consistent with making a pomade, especially for beginners as mentioned in the subject.
