Question

I would like to know the correct procedure for mixing the following ingredients:

  • Distilled water
  • Honey
  • Pro Polymer
  • Oil

Specifically, how should these ingredients be combined to create a stable formulation? What is the maximum percentage of oil that can be included in the formula before stability issues, such as phase separation, occur?

Answer

Here are the steps to mix Pro Polymer with distilled water, honey, and oil:

  1. Combine the water-based ingredients (distilled water and honey).
  2. Add Pro Polymer to this mixture and stir until a gel is formed.
  3. Once the gel has formed, add the oil.
  4. Stir or blend the mixture until everything is well combined.

Important Note: The oil phase should not exceed 10% of the total formula. If the oil content is higher than 10%, there is a possibility of the mixture separating over time.
