Question

I want to add Soy Extract at 10% concentration into Pure Aloe Vera Gel. The website recommends a maximum usage of 5% for Soy Extract. Can I add 10%? If so, how do I select this option?

Also, regarding storage, can I store the finished product at room temperature away from sunlight instead of refrigerating it?

Answer

Mixing Soy Extract with Aloe Vera Gel

Regarding adding Soy Extract to Pure Aloe Vera Gel, the recommended usage rate depends on the specific type of Soy Extract. For Isoflaqua™ (Water Soluble Soy Isoflavones), the recommended usage rate is 0.1-1.0%. For Tryptic-Soy™, the recommended usage rate is 0.1-5%. Adding 10% is higher than the maximum recommended concentration for both of these products. It is generally best to follow the recommended usage rates provided in the product information to ensure the stability and effectiveness of your formulation.

Storage Recommendations

For long-term storage of Soy Extracts like Isoflaqua™ and Tryptic-Soy™, it is recommended to keep them in the refrigerator and protect them from sunlight and heat. This storage guideline should also be applied to the finished mixture of Soy Extract and Aloe Vera Gel to maintain the quality of the active ingredients. The Aloe Vera Gel bases themselves should also be stored below 30°C and away from direct sunlight.
