Mousse Facial Wash Formula for Soft Skin

Here is a suggested formula for a gentle mousse facial wash that leaves the skin feeling soft after washing, along with the steps to make it. This formula utilizes mild surfactants and conditioning agents.

Formula (Example)

• Note: q.s. means "quantum satis" or "as much as is sufficient". You will add just enough Citric Acid to reach the desired pH.*

Instructions

1. Weigh all ingredients accurately according to the percentages in the formula.
2. In a clean container, combine the Water, Creamy Foamer, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, and Poly-Conditioner 47. Stir gently with a spoon or spatula until all ingredients are dissolved and the mixture is homogeneous. Avoid vigorous stirring to prevent excessive foam formation.
3. Add the Phenoxyethanol to the mixture and stir gently to combine.
4. Measure the pH of the mixture using a pH meter or pH strips. The ideal pH for facial wash is typically between 5.5 and 6.5.
5. If the pH is higher than desired, prepare a separate solution by dissolving a very small amount of Citric Acid in a little bit of water. Add this Citric Acid solution to the main mixture drop by drop, stirring gently and re-measuring the pH after each addition, until the desired pH (5.5-6.5) is reached.
6. Once the pH is adjusted, the liquid facial wash is ready. Carefully pour the mixture into a mousse foaming pump bottle. The special pump will turn the liquid into a rich foam when dispensed.

Use this mousse wash by pumping a small amount into your hand, applying to damp skin, massaging gently, and rinsing thoroughly with water. The combination of mild surfactants and Glycerin and Poly-Conditioner 47 helps cleanse effectively while leaving the skin feeling soft and comfortable.
