Mousse-Like Sunscreen + Foundation Formulation

This formulation provides a mousse-like texture, which is typically a silicone base, functioning as both a sunscreen and a foundation with a dry, smooth, easy-to-spread, and comfortable feel on the skin.

Here is the recommended formula:

Part 1:

• Silicone Gel: 61%
• Water: 5%
• Dimethicone: 5%
• SiliSolve: 1%

Part 2:

• Titanium Dioxide 200nm EasyDisperse™: 3%
• Zinc Oxide 200nm EasyDisperse™: 15%
• Silk Mica Powder (Matte): 10%

Mixing Instructions:

1. Combine the ingredients from Part 1 (Silicone Gel, Water, Dimethicone, SiliSolve) and blend or stir until a homogeneous mixture is achieved.
2. Add the ingredients from Part 2 (Titanium Dioxide 200nm EasyDisperse™, Zinc Oxide 200nm EasyDisperse™, Silk Mica Powder (Matte)) to Part 1.
3. Blend or stir thoroughly until the powders are fully dispersed and you achieve a smooth cream texture. Thorough blending is essential for a smooth final product.

Customization Notes:

• Using Talc Powder: Talc Powder can be used to replace Silk Mica Powder (Matte) at 10% in the formula. However, Silk Mica Powder is generally preferred as it provides a softer, smoother feel and better adherence to the skin due to its coating, compared to standard Talc Powder.
• Adding Whitening Ingredients: If you wish to add a whitening ingredient, you can incorporate it into the water phase (Part 1). An example is GlyciWhite™. However, it is not recommended to add a high percentage of whitening ingredients as this formula is designed to be lightweight.
• Adjusting White Cast: The amount of Titanium Dioxide 200nm EasyDisperse™ directly affects the white cast of the product. To increase the white cast, you can use a higher percentage of Titanium Dioxide.

This formula utilizes physical sunscreen ingredients, Titanium Dioxide 200nm EasyDisperse™ and Zinc Oxide 200nm EasyDisperse™, which provide broad-spectrum UV protection.
