Regarding the product Oil Blender, I would like to inquire about the maximum percentage of water that can be emulsified into a Water-in-Oil formulation using this ingredient.

คำตอบ

Oil Blender™ in Water-in-Oil Emulsions

Regarding the use of Oil Blender™ (Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate) in Water-in-Oil (W/O) formulations, the product description indicates that Oil Blender™ is primarily designed for blending oils and silicones, or for cementing (stabilizing) a Water-in-Oil emulsion.

It is not recommended for use as the main emulsifier to create a Water-in-Oil emulsion from scratch, especially if you intend to incorporate a high percentage of water.

Therefore, there is no specified maximum percentage of water that Oil Blender™ can emulsify when used as the sole or primary W/O emulsifier, as this is not its intended main function.

If you are using Oil Blender™ to help stabilize an existing Water-in-Oil emulsion, it is recommended to also use 1% Magnesium Sulfate to improve stability.

The general recommended usage rate for Oil Blender™ is 1-5% (with 3.0-3.5% being recommended).

For creating stable Water-in-Oil emulsions with a significant water phase, you may need to consider using a different primary Water-in-Oil emulsifier specifically designed for that purpose.
