Perfect-C™ (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) Stability in Oil Formulations

Perfect-C™ (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate) is an oil-soluble Vitamin C derivative known for its high stability. The product itself is described as a clear oil to light yellow liquid.

When incorporated into an all-oil formulation and stored in a clear container, the inherent stability of Perfect-C™ means it is less prone to rapid degradation compared to less stable forms of Vitamin C. However, prolonged exposure to light, even in a stable form like Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, can potentially lead to some color change or gradual degradation over time.

While significant, rapid yellowing might not occur, especially if stored properly, some degree of yellowing is possible due to light exposure in a clear container. The extent of yellowing would depend on the intensity and duration of light exposure.
