Question

What is the maximum recommended usage percentage for Vitamin B3 type safeb (Safe-B3™)? Can it be used at 15%?

Answer

Safe-B3™ (Vitamin B3, Niacinamide) Usage Rate

Regarding the usage rate of Safe-B3™ (Vitamin B3, Niacinamide), the recommended maximum usage rate is 10%.

While Safe-B3™ is a high-purity grade designed to minimize the flushing or redness commonly associated with Niacinamide at higher concentrations (above 5%), the manufacturer's recommended limit is 10%.

Using Safe-B3™ at a concentration of 10% typically does not cause allergic reactions or skin irritation. However, some individuals might experience a temporary feeling of warmth or puffiness on the skin for a few minutes after application at this concentration.

For an even gentler option, especially for sensitive or wounded skin, Extreme-B3™ is available. It is the purest grade and does not cause the puffiness sensation at 10%, but its recommended maximum usage rate is also 10%.

Using Niacinamide, including the Safe-B3™ type, at concentrations higher than the recommended 10% is generally not advised as it may increase the risk of irritation or adverse skin reactions.
