Question

I am trying to make a 100g batch of a formula with the following ingredients and percentages:

  • Salicylic Acid: 2g
  • Propylene Glycol: 40g
  • Polysorbate 20: 3g
  • Water: 55g

Is this ingredient calculation correct for a 100g batch? Also, how should I dissolve the Salicylic Acid in this formula?

Answer

Based on the staff's reply, your calculation for a 100g batch is correct:

  • Salicylic Acid: 2g
  • Propylene Glycol: 40g
  • Polysorbate 20: 3g
  • Water: 55g

The staff also mentioned that using gentle heat (60-70°C) can help Salicylic Acid dissolve more easily and quickly.
