Question
I need advice on a serum formulation for an adult aged 40 with combination skin, acne scars, large pores, and wrinkles. My formula uses Aloe Vera Gel (Lite) as the base and includes Natural Moisturizing Amino Acids. I am concerned about the texture and compatibility. What are your recommendations?
Answer
Hello,
Regarding the serum formulation you inquired about for an adult aged 40 with combination skin, acne scars, large pores, and wrinkles, the admin has reviewed it and has the following recommendations:
Admin's Recommendations:
- Natural Moisturizing Amino Acids should be removed from the formula. This ingredient is an electrolyte, which may cause the texture of the Aloe Vera Gel (Lite) base to become too liquid, as some gel bases are not compatible with electrolytes.
- The resulting serum texture will be quite liquid because the gel base (Aloe Vera Gel Lite) is only 67% of the formula. If you prefer a thicker texture, you can add Pro Polymer Silk at a concentration of 0.5%.
- The remaining ingredients in the formula are compatible.
Therefore, the adjusted formula (with Natural Moisturizing Amino Acids removed) can be mixed. If you desire a thicker texture, you can consider adding Pro Polymer Silk as recommended.
