Skin Absorption of Prebio-care with Penetration Enhancer

Prebio-care (Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide) is a skin prebiotic. Its main function is to support the beneficial microorganisms on the surface of your skin (the skin microbiome). Prebiotics like Prebio-care primarily work in the stratum corneum and epidermis, where the skin microbiota resides. Deep penetration into the dermis is generally not necessary for its function.

While penetration enhancers are designed to help ingredients absorb into the skin, the effectiveness depends on the specific ingredient's properties (like size and solubility). Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide is a relatively large sugar molecule.
