Question

Can Carbomer and Pro Polymer dissolve at temperatures ranging from room temperature up to 70-80°C? I ask because Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC) does not dissolve well at high temperatures, and I want to know if Carbomer and Pro Polymer are different in this regard.

Answer

Based on the information provided, both Carbomer and Pro Polymer (Acrylate Crosspolymer) can dissolve at temperatures from room temperature (around 30°C) up to 70-80°C. This is different from your experience with Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC), which you found did not dissolve well at high temperatures. Therefore, both Carbomer and Pro Polymer should be suitable for dissolving at 70-80°C.
