Question
I am formulating a gel using AA2G and Reshape Gel.
- Will the gel be sticky, especially if I use
AA2Gat higher concentrations (e.g., 5-10%)? - How can I reduce stickiness in this formulation?
Answer
AA2G and Reshape Gel Stickiness
Whether a gel made with AA2G and Reshape Gel feels sticky depends on the concentration of AA2G used.
- If the concentration of AA2G is between 1-5%, the gel should not feel sticky.
- If using a higher concentration of AA2G, such as 5-10%, you can add powder or oil-based emollients to the formula to help reduce stickiness. The LipidSoft group of emollients is recommended for this purpose.
Reshape Gel itself is designed to create a gel texture that is not sticky, even at high viscosity, and spreads easily on the skin.
