Update on Tesco Drinking Water for Cosmetic Formulations

Regarding the suitability of the new Tesco drinking water for mixing cosmetics, based on the tests conducted by the staff:

• The pH level of the new Tesco drinking water is acceptable for cosmetic formulations.
• However, the ppm (parts per million) value is slightly higher than the recommended level of below 20 ppm.

For personal use formulations, this water can still be used. It is particularly recommended to use Disodium EDTA in your formulation when using this water. Disodium EDTA helps to chelate metal ions in the water, preventing them from interfering with other ingredients and improving formula stability.

If you have access to other water sources with a ppm value below 20, those would be a more ideal choice for cosmetic formulations.
