Solubility and Usage of Hydrogenated Lecithin

Hydrogenated Lecithin, also known as Phospholipid, is a versatile ingredient used in cosmetic formulations, often for encapsulation, enhancing absorption, increasing solubility, or improving stability.

It is a light powder that disperses in oil. It can also be dispersed in water.

Important Usage Instructions:

• Dispersion: Disperse in water or oil at room temperature (not exceeding 40°C).
• Temperature: Avoid using heat above 40°C before dispersion, as this can cause the product to clump and become unusable.
• Blending: To achieve effectiveness, the mixture must be blended at a high speed, at least 1000 revolutions per minute (rpm), for a minimum of 15 minutes.

Usage Rate:

• 0.5%: Acts as a co-emulsifier or secondary emulsifier.
• 1-2%: Acts as a primary emulsifier.
• 3-5%: Functions as a skin moisturizer and helps reduce skin irritation.

Products like Hydrogenated Lecithin (50% Phosphatidylcholine), Hydrogenated Lecithin (70% Phosphatidylcholine), and Hydrogenated Lecithin (95% Phosphatidylcholine) are examples of this ingredient.
