Using Essential Oil with Reed Diffuser Base for Hotel Lobby

Question

I need Essential Oil for use in a hotel lobby. Previously, I tried using 100% Essential Oil with reed diffusers, which worked well for scenting but was a bit expensive.

I would like to ask if using 100% Essential Oil with reed sticks, as I did before, is the recommended method for making Essential Oil for diffusers, or if something else should be mixed in? If mixing is necessary, what should I use?

I would like to order the necessary ingredients together.

Answer

Using Essential Oils in Reed Diffusers\n\nThank you for your question regarding using essential oils for your hotel lobby reed diffusers. You are correct that using 100% essential oil can be quite expensive and may not diffuse as effectively as a properly formulated mixture.\n\nTo create an effective and more economical reed diffuser, it is recommended to mix your essential oil or fragrance oil with a dedicated Reed Diffuser Base. This base helps to properly dissolve the fragrance and allows it to travel up the reeds more efficiently, spreading the scent throughout the area.\n\nA suitable product for this purpose is Reed Diffuser Base (Type 1). This base is designed to work well with reed diffusers, helping the aroma to spread without leaving stains.\n\n## Recommended Mixing Ratio\n\A typical starting ratio for mixing essential oils or fragrance oils with a reed diffuser base is:\n\n* 25-30% Essential Oil or Fragrance Oil\n* 70-75% Reed Diffuser Base\n\nBy using a reed diffuser base, you will achieve better diffusion and make your essential oils last longer, providing a more cost-effective solution for scenting your hotel lobby.
