MatteSilica™ in Toothpaste Formulations

MatteSilica™ is a type of silica powder specifically designed and processed for cosmetic applications. Its primary functions are to absorb excess oil on the skin, provide a matte finish, and improve the texture and feel of cosmetic products such as creams, foundations, lipsticks, and powders.

Based on its intended use and properties, MatteSilica™ is not suitable for use in toothpaste formulations. Toothpaste requires specific grades of silica that function as abrasives for cleaning teeth or as thickeners, and these have different characteristics and safety profiles compared to cosmetic-grade silica designed for skin application.

Therefore, MatteSilica™ should not be used in toothpaste.
