Yes, you can use Musk Fix™ in an SLES shower gel formulation to help the fragrance last longer. However, since Musk Fix™ dissolves well in fragrance (which is often oil-based) and SLES shower gel is primarily a water-based formula, adding the fragrance mixed with Musk Fix™ directly might make the formula cloudy. To achieve a clear formula, you will need to use a fragrance solubilizer.

A suitable product for solubilizing fragrance in water-based formulas is Flora Solve™ Clear.

Here is how to mix them to get a clear shower gel formula with longer-lasting fragrance:

1. Mix Musk Fix™ with Fragrance:

   • Mix Musk Fix™ at a concentration of 1-5% of the total formula, combining it with the fragrance you want to use.
   • If Musk Fix™ is solid or semi-solid, you can use gentle heat (around 50-60°C) briefly to help it melt and blend better with the fragrance. Stir or mix until uniform.
   • Caution: Using Musk Fix™ at too high a concentration (more than 5%) may weaken the fragrance scent.

2. Solubilize the Fragrance+Musk Fix™ Blend with Flora Solve™ Clear:

   • Take the mixture of fragrance and Musk Fix™ from step 1 and mix it with Flora Solve™ Clear.
   • Use a ratio of 2-5 parts Flora Solve™ Clear to 1 part fragrance+Musk Fix™ blend (the exact ratio depends on the type of fragrance; you should test to find the ratio that achieves the best clarity).
   • Stir or mix until the entire blend is clear and uniform.

3. Add the Solubilized Blend to the SLES Shower Gel Base:

   • Slowly add the clear solubilized blend from step 2 into your SLES shower gel base.
   • Stir gently and slowly until the mixture is fully incorporated and the shower gel formula remains clear.
   • Important: Always add the solubilized blend (fragrance+Musk Fix™+Flora Solve™ Clear) to the shower gel base, never the other way around, as this can cause the mixture to thicken into a gel and be difficult to dissolve.
