Ensulizole (chemical name Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid) is a highly effective UVB sunscreen agent. and can be dissolved in water directly
Ensulizole is ideal for use in sunscreen formulations. that want to be a clear gel because Ensulizole is directly soluble in water.
Ensulizole is suitable for increasing the SPF in all sunscreen formulas because other sunscreens will dissolve in oil or dispersed in oil Ensulizole is in the water part of the sunscreen formula, which gives the formula more complete UVB protection. This is because the water phase is prevented from passing through UVB.
Ensulizole is less effective at blocking UVA and only blocks UVB.
