Trihydroxystearin
- Product Code: 6942
To thicken (thickening) in oil or silicone in the form Thixotropic (meaning when a shear force is applied, the viscosity of the substance is reduced. But when the force is stopped, the viscosity will return to its original state), which is considered a flow characteristic that is suitable for all types of cosmetics, especially any type of make-up. But when the force is stopped, the viscosity will return to its original state), which is considered a flow characteristic that is suitable for all types of cosmetics, especially any type of make-up.
TrihydroxystearinIt is used in the following formulas:
- water-in-oil to improve formula stability by increasing the viscosity of the oil phase
- Optimized color pay-offs in any form of color-cosmetics.
- Acts as a binder in pressed-powder formulas.
- Oil thickener to thicken the oil
Mixing must be temperature controlled. To be in the range of 35-65 degrees when spinning until more viscous. Turn off heat, blend until cool to thicken. Depending on the warm temperature level during the blending, disperse in the formula. For example, if you want a high consistency, heat it to 65 degrees, but if you don't want a high consistency, 35-40 degrees is sufficient to do the job. Trihydroxystearin[Do not use heat above 75 degrees, which will cause Trihydroxystearinpermanent loss of viscosity]
Usage example TrihydroxystearinActs as an oil thickener in lip gloss formulas to help prevent pigment from settling.
Maiden
Use: As a thickener, gelling agent for oils or silicones (including low polar solvents).
Mixing method: Mix in oil, blend until dispersed by heat not more than 65 degrees.
Usage rate: 0.1-10% depending on the desired viscosity
Product characteristics: white-light powder
