I'm looking to replace Preservative Eco in a formulation. Would this be a good option? My formulation is stable and has been lab tested but I don't like the smell of Preservative Eco

Key considerations for replacement:

• pH Compatibility: Preserve-BSB™ is effective in formulations with a pH range of 2.0 to 5.5. You would need to ensure your current formulation's pH falls within this range for optimal performance.
• Ingredient Profile: Preserve-BSB™ is a blend of Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, and Aqua. Preservative Eco typically contains Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, and Sorbic Acid. Both systems utilize Benzyl Alcohol, which is often the primary contributor to the characteristic scent that some users find undesirable in Preservative Eco. Therefore, while Preserve-BSB™ offers a different combination of organic acids, it may still carry a similar underlying scent profile due to the presence of Benzyl Alcohol.
• Use Levels & Processing: Preserve-BSB™ is recommended at 0.3–1.0% and can be incorporated at temperatures below 80°C, dissolving in the water portion of the formula.

If the scent of Benzyl Alcohol is the primary concern, it's important to note that Preserve-BSB™ also contains this ingredient.
