Absorption of Argireline and Hyaluronic Acid Nano in Toner

Question

I have formulated a toner containing the following ingredients:

  • Argireline (Peptide)
  • Hyaluronic Acid Nano
  • WaterLock™
  • Alpha Arbutin

I plan to apply this toner by spraying it onto the face or using my hands to pat it in. Will these application methods or the toner base affect the absorption of the active ingredients, particularly Argireline and Hyaluronic Acid Nano? I am concerned if these ingredients will absorb effectively into the skin.

Answer

English Answer:

Based on the expert replies, you don't need to worry excessively about the absorption of Argireline and Hyaluronic Acid Nano in your toner, even when used as a spray or patted onto the skin.

  • Argireline and Peptides: Both experts confirm that Argireline (a peptide) and peptides generally absorb well into the skin on their own, regardless of the formulation type (water, cream, or gel).
  • Hyaluronic Acid Nano: The nano-sized Hyaluronic Acid is also designed for good absorption due to its small molecular size.
  • WaterLock™: This ingredient is intended to form a coating on the skin, not for deep absorption.
  • Alpha Arbutin: While its absorption might be slightly less optimal compared to formulas specifically designed for it, your primary concern about Argireline's absorption is addressed positively.

You can comfortably use your toner as planned.
